ok, hear me out. What if in an alternative timeline, something like an elseworld, Ocean master achieves killing the families’ heroes. This tragic event will lead to an adaptation of injustice in young justice. Dividing the heroes in two sides, one group being the superman team, with flash, aquaman, green arrow, black lighting, wonder woman, and many others on his side. With other faction trying to stop the superman plans, that will be the young justice team with the help of quite few justice league members like batman and martian manhunter. The story follows ocean master killing the families of the heroes with the help of lor-zod, who unlike the original timeline, he acts premature because he manages to know about ocean master plan. Thanks to a bomb steal from metron vault, they kill everyone in the city, killing both lor zod and ocean master, so no one will truly know the responsible of the deaths of the heroes’ loved ones.

It's a shame to say, but it's true that there's not really the expected heroic way he can go out. The Injustice Dick death got me the most as Damian didn't mean to. It was an accident as Damian's known to have these tantrums. The video game had a scene where Bats says to Damian, who takes up the mantle to be Nightwing that he stopped being his son when he killed Dick, and he was actually his son. Green Arrow asked Bats if he's fine. There's a minor pause and said he's fine. I speculate that Bats still has some remorse to Damian, even though years have gone by.

Batman T.A.S. really should be #1, but the Animation has aged very poorly unfortunately which makes it more difficult to get into. It is beautiful art for sure, but not consistent as computers were not a huge part of helping clean up the animation and all. Out of all the DCAU, Batman Beyond easily has the best animation quality I feel. I watched through Batman Beyond, then went to Justice League, and the very first thought that was in my head was how the quality of animation went down vs Beyond.

When i was 10 me and my older cousins used to watch under the red hood together, amd there's an unusual phenomenon I've noticed: while my heart used to hurt for jason in the crowbar scene, where he gets beaten up, my cousins would relish in joker's cruelty and charisma. And later in the movie when jason comes back as red hood, threatens the drug mafias and kills people, my cousins were the ones who were rooting for him while I was just disgusted by his actions(although i was satisfied when he gave joker a beating with the crowbar later). These cousins of mine were also very murder-happy and idealized the joker. So in the end, people who prefer the red hood's actions will often be people who wouldn't have cared much for Jason's pain, and modtly just want to see killing. Alternatively, people who empathize most with jason will be people who generally care more deeply for life.
